The hot tub is in your room, not in a basement spa
Every room and suite has its own hot tub, in some right by a window looking out over the village and the mountains. Bathrobes and slippers are ready for you. After a day in the gorge or on Pokljuka, you don't have to go anywhere else.

We make breakfast mostly from organic produce grown in our region, some of it from our own garden. Eggs are cooked the way you like them. If there is something you don't eat, tell us before you arrive.

Walk into Vintgar before the coaches
The entrance to the Vintgar Gorge is 200 metres away. Guests who go early are in the gorge before the coaches and don't need to look for parking. Bled, the castle and the lake are 5 minutes by car.

How the house works
Around 22 °C in winter and summer, with fresh air
We built the house in 2014 as a passive house. We hold the Slovenia Green label and the EU Ecolabel.

Thick walls, good windows
Heat stays in. In winter the big windows catch the sun, in summer the outside blinds keep the heat out.

Ventilation day and night
Fresh air comes in through the ventilation system, so each room has just one window that opens.

Heat from the ground and the sun
A ground-source heat pump runs the underfloor heating, solar panels on the roof heat the water.

Rainwater for toilets and garden
We collect rainwater to flush the toilets and water the garden.

Good to know before you decide
We are not in Bled itself
We are in the quiet village of Podhom, 2 km from Bled. The lake is 5 minutes by car.
A car helps
Without a car, the lake is a good 40 minutes on foot. Parking at the house is free (let us know so we can reserve a space), and there is a charger for electric cars.
There is no lift
The upper floors are reached by stairs. If stairs are hard for you, choose the ground-floor apartment.
Towels are changed every three days
Bed linen every seven days, so we use less water and detergent. If you would like it more often, just tell us.
